Camping in the street...

...outside Miguels house...

...next to the market

Friday 28 - Sunday 30 September

We drove straight to Guadalajara, arriving after midnight and dead tired from turtle watching the previous night. We found a cool bar near the centre and got some tips for good places to go on Saturday evening. We went to a nearby car park to see if we could sleep there but it was due to close at 3.30am. As luck would have it, the guy working there, Miguel, offered us the chance to park outside his house and use his facilites when necessary. The unusual gringos rapidly became famous in this part of Guadalajara and our sleepy exits from the tent each morning certainly raised a few eyebrows in the busy market at the end of the street.

Plaza de Armas

Sheltering from a storm

The cathedral

This city was a relaxed place with plenty of colonial buildings and lots of nice girls. We went to a disco with some we wickedly pulled in a pool bar. No oil was changed but the opportunities are becoming more apparent.

There is always a small corner of England

Dorises love the Landy...

...and wicked travellers

The view from behind was even better

Our scribble on the ceiling of Bar La B de M

B wasn't quite as bitter

We even managed to make time for a visit to the Museo Regional de Guadalajara which had some interesting terracotta figures from Colima, Nayarit and Jalisco areas on display and the skeleton of a mammoth.

A mammoth

A fat chap

Lots of little men

A pig thing
