All military landies come with wicked jerry can lockers on either side. This is a good place to store spare fuel, weight distribution is good, access is easy and theres no messy diesel inside the back. Two standard 20 litre cans fit in each one. We've put a small padlock on the doors and a bicycle combination lock around the handle of the first can and the locker frame. We usually fill all four of the jerries up before entering sparsely populated areas, otherwise we just leave one or two full for emergencies. The lockers are more or less open to the elements at the back and so the contents get coated with mud and dust which always ends up all over us when we take them out.
